Congratulation to Hasura! The company, co-founded by NUS alumna Rajoshi Ghosh and incubated at BLOCK71 San Francisco, has raised US $25M in Series B funding led by Lightspeed Venture Partners. This comes just six months after announcement of a US $9.9M Series A round. Hasura is a software tech company that builds tooling products for developers, including an open-source engine providing GraphQL API to access their databases. The company has also recently added support for MySQL databases, beyond their existing support for PostgreSQL databases.

Former NUS Enterprise@Singapore Science Park incubatee Impress.ai aims to create a more equitable and efficient hiring process through the application of AI. Its chatbot software for recruiters helps to eliminate the unconscious bias prevalent in human decision-making by using pre-set questions and only scoring candidates on their skills and experience. Additionally, because interviews are conducted autonomously, candidates are able to be evaluated and shortlisted at scale, saving recruiters from time-intensive and manual tasks like resume screening. And the results are impressive: impress.ai now counts big-names like Accenture, DBS and Singtel among its clients. |
